We love the Lord Jesus Christ and like to pursue Him together! Throughout the week, we have Bible studies and fellowship in small groups on campus and in homes of Christian families in the community.
No period of time in our human life is more formative than our college years. The decisions we make in college, the education we receive, the friends we meet, the beliefs we develop will, in large part, determine who and what we become, who our friends are, and what we believe. This thought is simultaneously scary and exhilarating.
On top of it all, we are Christians, desiring to let the Lord make His home in our heart, while we are in college (Ephesians 3:17). That is a tall order, especially if we try to realize that goal on our own. What we have realized is that the Christian life is a life of “pursuing with those” (2 Timothy 2:22). Our desperate need, as Christians, is to be with others who love the Lord, pursuing Him together with them, that we may be “vessels of honor, sanctified, useful to the master, prepared unto every good work” (2 Timothy 2:21).
We want our college years to be a formative time not just for our human life, but even more, for our Christian life. That’s why we started this club. That is why the name of this club is not just a name. It is a description of who we are and what we aspire to become: normal Christians, loving the Lord with our whole heart, with our whole mind, and with our whole strength (Mark 12:30) on the Texas A&M campus where He has placed us.
Come join us to pursue Christ!
I pursue… but one thing I do: Forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, I pursue toward the goal for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called me upward.
But flee youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
